Dealing with slashes

Gawd, what a pain in the ass. I spent most of today trying to figure out a MySQL UPDATE problem. Solution here. It was strange since I never had to addslashes ever before. It would work in PHPmYADMIn and would work without a quote in the data passing. Thanks to the php_mysql list for saving my sanity. Now I’m exhausted. I must sleep.

Update: There is no longer any flash on unsung. Also WordPress deals with the SQL mess now so… Phew. (Nov. 2013)(2024) Wordpress is gone. Just plain HTML now so... thank gawd.
