Well, Iโm now 0-4 in Chess. I guess I just donโt see CheckMate. (Which is kinda important in Chess. :P) Iโll stay at it. Iโm a glutton for punishment.
I watched my sibling and my brother in law bike race yesterday. It is very cool to watch, but I find it rather emotional for some reason. First off, it seems so risky. I overheard an older cyclist talking about it and he remarked how crazy he must have been when he was younger to have participated in such an event. Iโd say. The cyclists zoom around at often 40km/h or faster with no protection other than a helmet. The races are rarely called if it rains. (yes, think about it, rain + roads + fast bikes) And they usually bunch up. There is nothing like seeing a peloton of 30 bikes zip past to make your heart skip a beat. I mean, anyone makes a slight error and youโll have a human omelet. So, watching people you care about zip by like that puts you on the edge. It is a very impressive sport. Watching the cyclist work up a massive hill after already biking 100km lets you know what heart, dedication and courage really means.
Updated: No longer chess at unsung.
