Phew. The ball hockey final was on Friday. It was against the very skilled Red team. They had a full turn out and two lines of skilled guys. Unfortunately, the turn out for the game before was abysmal. The Yellow team had only a single player. So, I played (although I would have preferred not to) so they could, at least, have a game. I did not play all out and was still running around for maybe 20m or so. At this age, they seemed like a lot once I started my real game. Sadly the only yellow player injured his leg. A strain or pull of some sort. He looked to be in some discomfort so... the game was delayed for quite a while. It was eventually ended before the main event.

The game was very intense and competitive. The went back and forth all night. We led after the first, they led after the third. So the fourth period we were down by three I think. Somehow we clawed back to tie it. And we got a go ahead goal very late to win. Really, either team could have won. In spite of the level of competition, there was very little animosity. (unlike in previous finals) I'm sure in time (if Red stays together) they will be the Champs. I had a good night until I ran out of juice in the 4th quarter. I netted two and maybe one assist. I think the final score was 9-8. Thanks for the goalies for staying and making the games possible. Tenders are so hard to find it seems. A fun night. Good games.
