Bowling for Columbine

Bowling for Columbine

I’ve been wanting to see Michael Moore’s Bowling for Columbine for some time…

What a great film. I’ve always been wary of visiting the US… It just feels different crossing the border. I’m always a little edgy when I’m there, and always happy to return to Canada. (but Buffalo wings are very tempting and I’m a huge Sabres’ fan so…GAH!) I think this is a film everyone on earth should see… Not just Americans. It is very true however the high level of fear in the US. Some is just different about the American psyche… I think Moore was asking a lot of good questions. Why is it that the US kills so many people per capita? Media? Accessibility to guns? Movies? Manson? Video games? or something deeper? It showed Marilyn Manson NOT to be a loud fowl mouthed rock star, but an articulate individual who might simply be exposing some truths people didn’t want to hear. The fact and figures about US government intervention throughout the world hardly surprised me… (but I did think setting it to It’s a Wonderful Like by Louis Armstrong was in poor taste) In fact it is likely much worse and could occupy much more time. It is was eerie however to see it listed with photos from the incidents. A powerful, moving film… the US really needs to address its love affair with guns. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

user’s comment – This is one of the greatest lyrics sites, because: Lyrics are sorted by artist & album, a file contains the full lyrics for an album.
That’s unbeatable!

Thanks…It is nice to hear… I certainly don’t that often. 🙂

Update: Lyrics no longer live here. I may bring them back. (Dec. 2013) <-no you won't :P

five on school

1. Are you going to school this year?
No. But I’m working at a University at the moment… do I get points for that??!

2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
High School – Holy Cross in St.Catharines 1989
University – Brock in St.Catharines 1995

3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
History, English, Geography, Art, Computer Science

4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?

5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
Mr. D’Amico. He has a certain air about him. He was always in control and dealt with situations in his class in a most curious manner. Such as making dumbasses put gum on their nose, or teach his class for interrupting. Always knew my name, and took time to write interesting comments on his papers. Odd how much I remember considering it was well over a decade ago… Cheers where ever you are.
