mmm waffles!

We went up to my sister’s in Collingwood for my birthday. They have been renovating their home. It is really starting to look impressive, great job! My mother made me two cakes! An ice cake and a Skor cake. Ironically… I said ice cream cake so she could just buy one and not have to do anything. (Yes she made the ice cream cake too…) Thanks Mom, I enjoyed both. We got chinese take-out which was quite good. Chatted a bit with my brother-in-law, which I don’t get to do often. It is great to have a stand up guy as an in-law, considering all the idiots out there. My gf got me slippers that I’ve been asking for. They are great, warm feet are happy feet. From her and my family I got a ticket to see the Sabres v. Penguins with my Dad! A great idea, and I look forward to the afternoon out with my father. Surprisingly no geeky stuff. I guess I’ve bought quite a bit of it for myself over the past few months.

Sunday started with some yummy B. waffles. We eventually got out for a little Christmas shopping. It is already getting nuts. Why does shopping for Christmas put people in anything but the Christmas spirit? Meh. Seeing that the x-mas tree has been my colours the past two years, this year B. picked the colours. Our tree will be red/burgundy and Gold.
