Roundhouse kick to the head anyone?

Something weird is going on with a nerve in my jaw. It doesn’t hurt… but it has numbed one side of my face. It is hard to describe. It is like parts of my face have freezing in them. It is somewhat disturbing. As it affects most of that side up into my eye socket. I’m seeing a dentist Monday. Sigh.

UPDATE: Okay, I was freaked out enough to go to a walk-in. The doctor diagnosed me as having Bell’s Palsy. Basically a nerve in my face decided to suddenly have a bad day. In most cases the nerve will regenerate itself in weeks to months. It is mostly uncomfortable and just a weird sensation on the one side of my face. To define it : ‘Bells palsy is a condition that causes the facial muscles to weaken or become paralyzed. It’s caused by trauma to the 7th cranial nerve, and is not permanent.’ I can’t wait until this clears… it sure is annoying. I’m on Prednisone for just under two weeks. I guess I’m glad it wasn’t something worse.
