Well - it looks like it will be a looong season for ball hockey. Everyone on the team has regressed (me too) and the new additions don't help matters at all (they clearly over sold their 'I've played before') So yeah, it looks like we'll be lucky to win a single game. From being so dominant a few seasons ago - to now struggling every single game... Our goalie is still learning the position but it sure seems like we are spotting teams 3-4 easy goals every game...It just seems noticeable when we get more shots on goal and none are gimme goals. (Their goalie was pretty remarkable tonight...certainly the main reason they won IMHO) So yeah, it is going to be small victories because I don't think we'll get anything else. We had a full roster tonight too so. *shrug* We are always behind in games, so I press and pinch and expect others to cover defense when I'm attacking but it seldom seems to happen. And this old man no longer has the legs to attack deep and get back to cover anymore. On the bright side, no cramping and I fell pretty good seeing it has been a few weeks since my the last game.
Jays lost and are now behind 3-2 heading back to Toronto... best they can do now is force a game seven...
