Well, Winter has certainly arrived all around the region. There is tons of snow north and south of us but so far nothing here. There is a scary amount of snow at the SiL's cottage and in Buffalo. It is cold here. Below zero for first time this Winter. The first few days of sub zero - as you reacquaint yourself with brr - seem particularly cold. Not complaining. I'll take over many of the other things mother nature tosses at us.
The semi finals were last Friday at ball hockey. We played a depleted yellow team. We did well... We led the entire night. They made us run for sure for the win but it was comfortable. I had a good night, 2G 1A. Also a bad gaff that broke the goalie's shutout. *cough* Then everyone started tossing up pizzas. Hmmpt. We play Red for the season next Friday.
Pretty quiet weekend.
Bdot has day surgery tomorrow. We still have no idea how long it will take... communication from the hospital has been appalling bad.
update
The surgery day was long for everyone. I wasn't too impressed with the Humber River Hospital. There is very poor signage, so just finding bdot would have been impossible if some staff didn't point me in the right direction. Then there is the turn over... Bdot was pale, dizzy and feeling like she could faint. But was encouraged to leave. I'm not blaming the staff. The nurses were lovely. But the system is poison. Patients shouldn't be release if they still have symptoms. It isn't fscking rocket science! She has felt poorly off and on for the next day but is largely better now.
LOL. The Sabres had a 4-0 lead and lost 5-4. At home. BOOed off the ice. AGAIN. Why do I fscking bother. So pathetic and fragile.
