overpriced cupcakes

Still not feeling 100%… But with much drugging I ventured out Saturday. First stop was at etccomputer.com to pick up a new barebones AMD box. It came put together in a sealed box. More on this later. Next stop was for more medication then a little shopping. B. and I wandered in a few stores along Younge street. Shopping…. Shopping. Books.

We eventually hooked up with Kirk and Sandra for dinner on Younge. We ended up going to Alize. It was pretty good. We were lucky to squeak in and get a table so we had to finish before a ‘reservation’ came in for the table. :/ After dinner we tried to play some pool. Not good. Had tea and overpriced cupcakes and called it a night.

Naturally I was eager to get home to play with the new AMD Box. I tossed in a video card, plug it in, click the on button… ~~nothing~~ click click ~~nothing~~ power supply on? Yes. Motherboard LED, On. ~~~grr~~~ click click ~~nothing~~ After an hour of toying the box, it wouldn’t boot up at all… my theory is the on/off clicker on the case is FUBARed. Sigh… Don’t they TEST these thing before they package them?? Anyways… waiting to hear from etccomputer. I expect I will have to get a new case later in the week.

Update: seems etccomputer is now gonzo. Shocking. *eyeroll* (Nov. 2013)
