so, it is December. The month that brings an end to another year and of course Christmas. (For those who celebrate anywaysโฆ since I doโฆI shall continueโฆ) Iโve always found it a strange time of year. Some say people are nicer during the holidays and it offers a glimpse of what could be. Unless of course you are in a mall parking lot on a weekend in December then the โChristmas spiritโ is a transparent as a ghost. Why is it we need a reason to make the extra effort to be decent? Iโm getting increasingly disillusioned with society and the direction the world appears to be going. I can be a bitter cynic but cโmonโฆwatch any 6โO clock news castโฆ 10 bad stories then maybe one focus story on something good that happened. Do we need to hear another bus was blown up in the Middle East? I donโt. I have come to expect that they will keep fighting and killing each other until there is no one left. It is truly sad. No oil in Jerusalem however, so peace there is a low UN priority. Anyway, it does make me reflect on how good things are in Canada and the US. Obviously we have our share of problemsโฆ but the rights and freedoms we have, people have died trying to get. Maybe things here arenโt so bad. It is all relative I suppose. Boy, scattered entry tonight. I should sleep.
24 shopping days untilโฆ
