Sabres suck?

Hmm. You might have been wondering why I haven’t talked about my beloved Sabres much this season. Well… have you seen them play? They are 5-6, which means their record is … *gasp* as bad as the Leafs. Fortunately I’ve been working a lot and I’ve only caught the end of two games recently. I watched most of the Panthers game last night, and was not impressed at all. Simple defensive coverage was non-existent, offensive opportunities would be shots that missed the net, offensive pressure was constantly lost by weak passing… it was frustrating to watch as a fan. Our multi-million dollar boy Thomas Vanek is looking like a bit of a bust too. Sure he has a few points, but for 10 very large I expect a better effort and more *important* goals. Max, well, just trade him… I can’t stand to see him cough up the puck 347294827 times a game. The defense,… Sigh, I don’t where to begin. They are soft and completely ineffective at stopping offensive zone pressure. I’d like to see something done… and done soon before we are so far under .500 that we can’t climb out of the hole we are digging. Right now the playoffs are even starting to look like a dream.
