A beautiful sunset on a beautiful lake.

A beautiful sunset on a beautiful lake.

For someone who went to University and majored in Humanities I read very, very rarely, if at all. I love information but reading hasnโ€™t happened since University. Today I finished reading my first novel in years. I finished Douglas Couplandโ€™s Shampoo Planet. It was a great read. I enjoy how Coupland writes and his vivid imagery and characters.

So Iโ€™m home obviously. The drive home was about 4 hours. I stopped only to get gas. I came home for a 2PM meeting I had to setup the job Iโ€™m starting Monday. There is a ton of red tape and documentation and bureaucracy. Joy. I wonder what the big deal is. They are really just extending my EI for 3 months. Whoopie. I donโ€™t even know for sure the โ€˜paperworkโ€™ will have cleared by Monday in order for me to start. Hmmpt.

The cats sure are happy to have me home. Remi has become a Velcro cat. She has been beside me since I got home. Even zippity-Zapper cat has been generous with her affection, especially without B. home. So I guess the cats have forgiven us for leaving them for a week. *grin*

Apparently, there is a storm moving into the area. It hasnโ€™t hit yet but the sky has grayed over and the trees have begun to rustle a bit. So, it is coming. Iโ€™m doing much today. I feel a little lethargic, having to scratch cats for hours on end is exhausting.

UPDATE!

Yes, the background has been changed. Do you know what it is? *grin*

Things I forgot to mention about the Round Lake Holiday:
-tried out our new fire bowl. It was awesome! Now we can have illegal fires at home. ๐Ÿ™‚
-I canโ€™t believe how much Sailor Jerry Rum I drank
-mosquitoes were brutal until 10PM then they appeared to go to bed
-there is high speed in Wilno, Killaloe and Barryโ€™s Bay
