Christmas, Family
The most wonderful time of the year? Does anyone really think so? The rushing around, the congestion, the expectations? Sure I like to see my friends and family but I also like and need some down timeโฆ Since Dec.23 it has been non-stop events โฆ and now today we are off again to Peterboro for the day. It is too much. I donโt recall the last time a holiday was actually relaxing.
That saidโฆ it has been a fun few days. I did well for gifts this year scoring a netbook (my favourite toy in the world now), several threadless tees, a few sweater, a Sabresโ jersey, a Sabresโ stine, pixies DVD, a Muse CD and a bunch of chocolate. PHEW! Not to mention the boxing day shopping we did where we got a 46โณ LCD TV (and subsequently the HD Cablebox upgradeโฆ) So we have certainly done our part for the economy. ๐ I got B. an Irish White Gold Ring, sadly it was a little small so weโll have to find a chance to get downtown to the jeweler. The Christmas events seemed to blur together. First was my parents with my family. We tried getting everyone to come up to Bolton but the older folks donโt want to drive in the umโฆ snow? Anywayโฆ it was great seeing my cousins, aunts and uncles, they are a decent gregarious bunch when together. Christmas day we had dinner here with my immediate family and B.โs brother. It is a big production getting everything ready. I donโt think everyone appreciates the time B. puts into the meal. It is hours and hours. So, thanks hon, it was delicious and very special. In the evening we played a little Texas HoldโEm with Steveo taking everyoneโs money. Lastly we went over to B.โs sisterโs for brunch. She has three young boys so, it is a mad house of energy.
I should get ready to go. More later.
