Marie-Philip Poulin’s golden moment!

As expected, Canada and U.S. women fought for hockey Gold. It was an exciting end to end battle for 3+ periods. The U.S. looked to be in line to win up 2 in the third with less than 5m to play… but Canada kept driving tieing the game late and forcing overtime. (Holy sh*t that puck hitting the post… what a story that would have been…) After a breakaway (that should have been a penalty shot) Canada was awarded a powerplay, a 4 on 3. Marie-Philip Poulin scored to win Gold for Canada!

Las Vegas favoured the U.S., they scored a ton of goals and looked to have momentum going into their semifinal game against Canada today. Canada clearly didn’t get that memo. Canada held the edge in puck possession, chances and won 1-0… Shutting out the U.S.! Canada now faces Sweden Sunday morning for gold and Finland plays the U.S. for bronze. WOO! GO Canada!
