How many more weeks of Winter? :(

Awwโ€ฆ March Break, or as I like to call it โ€˜brilliant week of on-time commutingโ€˜. Such a change from slow, drudgery of Winter commuting. Cars today were weaving in and out of lanes like an Indy race. The extremes of how people drive in a week are ridiculous. Oh, and apparently it is snowing again tomorrow. Sigh, Iโ€™m so done with Winter.

It was another quiet weekend. Bdot is still dealing with back issues so she can do very little without pain. So Saturday was housework day: laundry, groceries, vacuuming, dog. Yup. In the backyard I smashed down some of the mountain of ice/snow that surrounds the BBQ on the patio. (I was motivated to do so because I slipped on the ice there onto the hot BBQโ€ฆ so I have a scar to remind me to smash that fscking ice to hell) It was solid enough to resist axe swings. *eyeroll* There is still a lot leftโ€ฆ but it is better than it was. What a messโ€ฆ

I chilled out and watched Captain Philips in the evening. What an incredible story. There is some brilliant acting by Tom Hanks especially the ending. It was curious to see the process U.S. ships take when encountering hostilities in International waters. I correctly figured once a โ€˜Navy Seal teamโ€™ was called in the ending was going in only one direction. A solid and highly entertaining film. โญโญโญยพ

The Sabres have offered Nolan a three year contract. After the LaFontaine fiasco (and his emotional presser) it is finally sounding like Ted is signing on as coach. Thank god. I think if Ted is given some players with talent and enforces the same work ethic the climb out of the cellar will begin.

Other than eating Tangaโ€™s favourite activity is cuddling under the cover with a human. She usually gets some time with Bdot before I put her to bed downstairs. Well she wants to stay with us so much that she has recently opted to try and hide under the bed from me. I think tonight weโ€™ll let her go under the bed. I wonder what her plan is?

Iโ€™ve been playing around with Linux Mint 16 installs both at home and work. It is a lovely distro. Simple to use. Clean UI. Functional Toolbar. Software Manager to grab new Warez. Itโ€™s easy to install. I havenโ€™t found a reason to dislike it yetโ€ฆ Goodbye Ubuntu.
