Spent the holiday weekend up at B.โ€™s sisterโ€™s cottage on Gloucester Pool (north of Barrie). It was a good time. Saturday we had a nice boat ride through the Trent-Severn waterway. I went through my first lock. It was pretty interesting how they move boats up and down the locks around 20 feet per lock. The Georgian Bay area is lovely. Lots of nice cottages and homes all long the numerous lakes and rivers. Why is it that boaters wave to each other nearly all the time? That certainly doesnโ€™t happen in the โ€˜cityโ€™ when I drive around. Are people just most amiable on holidays? Hmm, curious. We were out for a long time and most of us got sun burnt pretty badly. The wave varied in size we took on water (and got soaked) two or three times. It was funny after I found out my camera wasnโ€™t destroyed. As usual B.โ€™s Brother in Law BBQed up a storm of meat. Phew. Ribs, wings, tenderloin, bacon, back-baconโ€ฆ Whoaโ€ฆ Grog! Eat good! Grog happy! Grog tummy hurtโ€ฆ

Sunday we went tubing. Ouchโ€ฆ most of body (especially my neck) is in a lot of discomfort. Fun at the time. Not so fun the day after. We should get up there one more time this fall. The dog certainly enjoyed it.
