Lemon Meringue Pie

Lemon Meringue Pie

It has been another long work week. Iโ€™ve worked overtime every night this week. The project is going pretty well. There is still a ton to do, but the team is making good progress. I think the final game will be a lot of fun. Iโ€™m pretty tired though. Zzzz.

My parents went up to their trailer in Peterborough on Thursday. On Friday, on the way home they stopped in. It was a short visit. It is always good to see them, especially when they bring Lemon Meringue Pie. Mmmm pie!

B. put up a bunch of art in the living room. Some awesome pieces we bought last year from Ontario artist Mark Kellett. I love the painting entitled At the Gallery XXX.

Saturday was a crazy busy day. We went to Costco, Henryโ€™s, Fabricland then (finally) ended up at a friendโ€™s for dinner and a dog walk. Brian made a remarkable Corn chowder soup. The soup was based on a soup he had in a San Francisco restaurant. It was *beyond* mmm Mmmm good. Before dinner we had an hour walk with their four dogs and Tanga. The photo above was taken during that walk beside an open field just off the walking path. Unfortunately my (and B.โ€™s) allergies were brutal in their house, not only do they have four dogs, but they also have four cats. I think we came close to emptying a box of Kleenex in one night between us. B. remarked how red my nose was just after we got home. It was a nice night with Brian and Marnie, they are always great hosts.

Sunday I cleaned out the garage while B. painted the front door. The door is going from a red-brown to a dark green. We did some more shopping in the eveningโ€ฆ picking up a few things form Home Depot. By the evening I was exhausted and parked my ass on the couch.
