The first Presidential โ€˜debateโ€™ was last night. Hillary was calm, factual and cited examples from her experience. Trump was argumentative, interrupted and offered more rhetoric than substance. Often seeming like the buffoon I think he is. Sure neither choice would be preferred, but the lesser of two evils is pretty clear to me. There is no way the U.S. (let alone the World) can let the Worldโ€™s most important job be run by someone so flippant and ignorant as Trump. It is sad that heโ€™s got this far and disturbing that he is a real possibility. Iโ€™m aghast with the incomprehensible babble that comes out of his mouth. The sideshow act needs to end, the U.S. *needs* real leadership right now โ€“ not a brash cavalier simpleton who canโ€™t even control his โ€˜temperamentโ€™ for 60m during a debate. Ughโ€ฆโ€ฆ..

I enjoyed a visit from three of my oldest friends on Saturday. It is rare we are able to get together. But Pat, Mike and KK and I got together for a fun night. Yes there was drinking. โ€œHeroicโ€ amounts of rye and freezer chilled (and over chilled) beers. We watched Canada v. Russia in the World Cup. It was a close game going into the third but it wasnโ€™t long before Canada showed their quality. By mid 3rd, Canada was up by a few goals and never looked back. They will face *gasp* Team Europe in a best of three series starting tonight. Along with the hockey game, there was a bit of jamming with drums, keyboard and guitar. Iโ€™ll have to look at getting an amp sometime down the road. The boys all stayed the night. Lots of laughs. We did breakfast at the always busy diner in town then Pat and Mike went on their way. Hopefully we get together again soon.

Well, another poor work experience has ended. My former employer let me go saying it wasnโ€™t a good fit. I agree it wasnโ€™t. I had already begun to look for something else. It was a soulless, uncooperative and unsatisfying place to work anyway โ€“ so while I would have preferred to leave on my terms โ€“ I donโ€™t really see it as a big loss. So back to it I guess. Sigh.

Bdot is away at a conference in Arizona until Wednesday. Iโ€™m constantly covered in animals.
