We are enjoying the new car. I think we are a little hyper sensitive to hearing any odd sound while driving. Is that the car?? Did you hear that? We did have a little issue with the Engine Light coming on with the Cruise light flashing. As with most new cars they are really sensitive to the gas pressure, the Subaru Impreza 2.5i is no exception. If the gas cap isnโ€™t on tight, engine chaos ensues. And it did. The solution (to save a trip to the mechanic โ€“ some charge to diagnose thisโ€ฆ) is to remove the positive lead on the battery for about 2m, put it back on, and the computer error should be cleared. Youโ€™ll lose your radio presets however. Our dealer said be sure it clicks 3-4 times to ensure it is on tightly. Thanks to Steveo and B. for saving me a trip into Brampton.

Last night we ventured over to Aurora to their Ribfest. We went with B.โ€™s brother in law and our oldest nephew. Let the games begin! There were five different rib choices. The line ups for three of them were very long, we decided to conduct our own tasterโ€™s test and got ribs from Camp 31, Boss Hogs BBQ and Uncles Samโ€™s. I was surprised at how different the ribs were from BBQ to BBQ. They all had good sauces but Camp 31โ€™s meat fell off the bone and was very tender. The others were tougher and possibly even undercooked. So, for us, Camp 31 was Ribfest king! We also enjoyed a blooming onion and chips which B. waited in line for for what seemed like an eternity. The venue was well run, garbage cleaned up quickly, amenities were availableโ€ฆ my only improvement would be more picnic tables for people to eat at. We had to table stalk for 20m before we sat down. Overall an evening of great eating.
