Limes

Our new puppy is ‘Lime’. (Lime is the colour of the collar she was given at birth) We have not decided on a name yet. While I still like ‘Pink’ a lot as a puppy… in the big picture considering what B. and I want to do with a dog – considering aptitude and personality – Lime seems to suit us better. So she is our happy, yelping, digger, dirt eating, fetching, crazy puppy.

The ride home with the puppy was, without question, the longest 2 hours I have ever spent in a car. My god. The puppy yelped, whined and screamed nearly the entire drive home. My nerves were shot at the end of it and I wondered WTF did we bring home. Of course when you break it down from the puppy point of view, she had good reason to whine… but Jesus…. Two hours straight of high pitched yelping and I start to crack. She calmed down considerably once in the house… which is more than I can say for the cats. I pull them out from under the downstairs’ futon just to feed them. Clearly there are going to be many growing pains here. I’ll post photos later. I’m freaking exhausted.
