Carrier Hopping...

It would be nice if after a year or so of service, your cell phone company would evaluate your useage and change you to a plan more suited to how you use your phone โ€“ in order to save you some money. But since that would only happen in dreamland, you have to do it yourself. I donโ€™t mind Telus. I switched from Bell (a.k.a. the MoFo idiots that canโ€™t do anything right, die die die) to Fido (which simply had crappy service) to Telus where Iโ€™ve been awhile. Ever so often I check their rate plans since I really donโ€™t use the phone all that often. It is mostly for emergencies and communicating with friends and family (and of course B.) I was paying close to $75 per month, I figured that was a little high considering my usage. Soโ€ฆ I poked around telusโ€™ website and found the exact plan I had but with fewer minutes for $20 bucks less a month. So. I switched it. No sense giving Telus $240 extra dollars a year. I like them but I like Ice Cream money more. Maybe you should check your plan too.
