I will get bigger…

First off, a belated Happy Birthday wishes to my sister, who just turned 56. Have a good one. 😛 And Happy Mothers’ day to my Mom.

It was another busy weekend. Friday night B. and I walked down to Rebekha Sushi in Bolton. It is awesome to be able to walk to a restaurant. Dinner was really good. I got some sort of funky beef noodle dish and B. got an assortment of sushi. I actually tried one of the veg rolls, it wasn’t that bad. I think it was asparagus, rice and guacamole I think.

Saturday we drove down to St.Catharines. We made a few stops along the way however. First we stopped at Zehrs for a few groceries. They recently renoed Zehrs and it takes longer to find everything. Odd. I was just getting comfortable with the previous layout of the store. *eyeroll*.

Our next stop was at Marnie and Brian’s in Oakville. Their dog Indy just had a little of puppies so we had to stop in and see them. The puppies were just over a week old. Their eyes were still closed and you could hold one in the palm of your hand. They do get bigger, much bigger. After a short visit we decided to go downtown with Marnie to a Gelato place she recommended whose name I can’t remember. (Nor can I find it on google…) This is unfortunate because the choices and flavours there were amazing! It was really decandent. We are certainly going back to try other flavours (and to get the store name). It was close to the Licks within walking distance of the pier if that helps any Oakvillians. We grabbed a quick bite at the aforementioned Lick’s and rushed down to St.Catharines.

The first stop in Niagara was at a Jeweler in St.Catharines that B. has done business with for several years. She is a interesting woman running her own solo business. She inquired to me about doing some updates to her website so, we’ll see how that goes. The final stop was at my parents for dinner. We had a great dinner and it was good to see my parents for an evening.

Sunday we went to see my sister race in Albion Hills. The track was really muddy and her bike didn’t take well to it and she wasn’t able to finish. It is still fun to see a race and all the spectacle that it entails. The afternoon we battled the weeds and lawn. The backyard is being overrun by various weeds that are creeping into the lawn. It is such a frustrating mess. Not sure what we can do about it…
