We drove down to St.Catharines (without the dog) for dinner at my parents yesterday. It was a great dinner and great dessert. My mother *made* an ice cream cake. It was killer. Before dinner I think we hit every bike store in Niagara. B. is thinking of getting a ‘road bike’ and utilized the knowledge of my sister and brother-in-law to get some in person advice about bikes. I think she found one she is really interested in. If she gets a good tax return I wouldn’t be surprised to see on in the garage.

My sister (B.I.L.) and their dog (Wiley) dropped by this afternoon. For the first time in weeks we let Tanga run off leash. She was still pretty zippy. Clearly Tanga and Wiley will have many future days to chew on each other. Chilled in front of the TV most of the night. Watched a bit of the Two Towers. It always moves me to see the scene when the Elves first enter Helm’s Deep. I dunno why.

It was the big showdown day in Buffalo… the over-hyped kill Tucker game. A dejected heartless Leaf team showed and the Sabres crushed them. Tucker was once again a big pussy coward (going after a rookie tonight…) and Peters showed no-class rubbing the defeat in the Leafs faces. Seeing this is the first year after the rule changes there are a lot of goons still under contract. It is apparently to most teams that speed and skill is now the name of the game. Idiots like Domi and Peters have no place in the new NHL. Hopefully next year more of these goons will be dropped to make room for skilled players. I think the game would be a whole lot better for it. And Tucker you still suck.

Playoffs start in less than a week. Joy! GO SABRES!
