Christmas, health, This is War

Finallyโ€ฆ some time off. Yesterday was my last day of work for about 10 days. We had a dinner party to end the year. It was okayโ€ฆ Everyone seemed eager to leave and the day was pretty uneventful and disconnected. *shrug*

I went to the local Zehrโ€™s today to get some last minute supplies for Christmas. What a zoo. Seriously people when stores are rammed to rafters with people be aware of where you are walking and what you doing. Granted I dislike strangers in my personal space more than most โ€“ but jesus โ€“ some people are so fracking oblivious. I came close to a few justifiable homicides. *shakes head* The saving grace was the kind woman who let me check out ahead of her since she had a full cart and I had four items. That was swell, thanks, especially since I was running late for my -sigh- dental appointment.

I got a gold crown on one of my molars. Yes, it wasnโ€™t as horrible as other visitsโ€ฆ but every visit to the dentist is uncomfortable, awkward and stressful.

Spent some time wrapping gifts and watching the Sabres piss away another game. Ho-hum.

Watched This is War (a.k.a. Severe Clear). It was the journey of a Marineโ€™s trip to liberate Kuwait. Most of the footage was shot by the Marine himself. It was hard to follow and often very disjointed. The only really interesting part of the movie was some of the narrative and personal commentary of the the Marine. When it ended and it felt very unresolved and sudden. It was neither a good documentary or a good war movie imho. โญโญ
