Buffalo Sabres

Sigh.

Sigh.

Well Sabresโ€™ fans thatโ€™s it. From being one of the best teams in the NHL to a non-playoff team. Where to begin. First the deep disappointment I feel over this season and how this team has been dismantled in just one year. Star after star was allowed to pack their bags and leave. Where was the owner stepping up making a commitment to winning. This isnโ€™t the Leafs? Or is it? Miller was average. And an average Ryan Miller means the Sabres have a good chance at losing. He stole very few games this year and stunk it up completely in shootouts. Was he overplayed? Clearly. But what choice did Ruff have? Give away two points with TBO in net? Forget it. Sabres need a REAL backup goalie who can play 20 games and a coaching plan to execute that. Do I blame Ruff. A little but I donโ€™t think he had a lot to do with this years failure. I think the main problem is management. Quinn is clueless and arrogant. And Golisano is a businessman who doesnโ€™t care about the Stanley Cup, just making money. Sad. As a fan this is not who I want owning and running my team. Maybe next year? Maybe not. Unless there are some big chances, expect more of the same Sabresโ€™ fans.
