Ugh Java

I was reading a thread in my favourite forum and came across The Gamers Manifesto. A very interesting read. Highly recommended. Sure the next gen console game will look amazing… but will they *play* amazing. ⚠️ (various links now 404 have been removed 😕 - April/24)

I’m still slugging through Java at work. I beginning to wonder if it is completely unrealistic to learn it in the time I have with the method I’m doing it. I’m sure any Java programmer would have a chuckle. I’ve been coding for well over a decade and I’m finding it VERY unfriendly, detailed and ughhhhhhh. Sure it is powerful blah blah blah but if it isn’t useable who cares? I’m hoping for an epiphany or this will be a short run. I’m not sure if this is what I want to be doing anyway, it is pretty dry.
