Wicked

Wicked

On Saturday B. and I went to see an afternoon showing of Wicked. Wicked is a musical based on the characters from the Wizard of Oz. What made the Wicked Witch of the West wicked? What made her that way? What her life like before the house squashed her? Wicked answers these questions with song, dance and a good sense of humour. I enjoyed the story and thought the musical was quite enjoyable. You can appreciate Wicked on various levels simply as song and dance, or appreciate some of the deeper messages on race, humanity and human relations. B. enjoyed it too calling it โ€˜cuteโ€™. After the show we went out for dinner at Osso Bocco, an Italian restaurant in Brampton. Dinner was decent. I was a little disappointed with my Osso Boccoโ€ฆ I normally donโ€™t order more obscure things off a menu but I thought Iโ€™d try something different. The pasta and sauce were very good but picking a fairly fatty cut of meat in a poorly lit restaurant was pretty unappealing.

Today we did some shopping at Home Depot. We bought a toilet to replace the cracked one upstairs that is leaking. Hopefully we can install it soonโ€ฆ we do have to wait for the boards below it to dry properly however. This afternoon we are going up to Collingwood (likely for the last time) for Thanksgiving dinner with my parents. Should be a great meal.

Wowโ€ฆ three big wins to start off the season for the Sabres! (Especially v. the Habsโ€ฆ what a win! 4-2 with 5 left and win 5-4! Heart! heart! heart! We shall never surrender!)
