Last Sunday we took the dog up to Fergus for some โ€˜trainingโ€™. Barb let our trainer run the dog through a bunch of tests. The dog operated very well, at โ€˜utilityโ€™ level. So it seems if we want the dog to pass various tests we will have to learn to command her with more authority. She needs to know that our commands have to be followed. Just like she obeyed the trainer. It was an interesting revelation.

After training we went over to Kevin and Suzanneโ€™s place in Guelph for lunch. Suz cooked up a storm, sushi and pasta salad and chocolate zucchini cake for dessert. I have to admit it was good, even with crappy zucchini in it. We are planning a few outings with them this summer โ€“ should be fun. I think we will be canoeing and a longer canoe/camping trip in July in Algonquin park. That should be pretty amazing. We havenโ€™t done โ€˜car-lessโ€™ camping before, but I expect it should be exciting and enjoyable.

The war against the lawn continues. I removed another stump yesterday. There is only one more then we can get the Ninebark in the ground finally. They should look great there. They are just starting to flower!
