The original Shed (long torn down..)

My parents are off to the East Coast to Wells, Maine. They are renting a cottage for a week. Sounds awesome! I’m hoping they have a great time and sublime weather. The one thing you worry about as a dog owner is the slim chance your dog gets attacked by other, often bigger dog. Since I walk the dog often, I know a number of people in the neighbourhood. Anyway, there is a nice women down the street with a little Shih Tzu. You know, the harmless little dogs that look like a dirty mop? I ran into her yesterday and she said please don’t bring your dog near….Which was really odd. The dogs know each other. She said, my dog was attacked recently and is really skittish. After a moment or two however her dog realized mine wasn’t a threat and I came over and chatted with her… Apparently the assholes who leave their dog chained in the garage ALL THE TIME… their dog attacked hers. Their dog is a German Shepherd. The dog is an asshole too. She showed me the numerous bite marks and said her dog is okay but it sure looked awful. So today I’m passing by the house (which I’ll avoid in the future… but it is hard since they are right by the sidewalk off our street) and the same asshole dog is aggressively barking and lunging at the end of its chain as we walk by. I don’t know what would happen if that beast ever touches my dog. But I can guarantee it will be a bad day for that dog. It makes me tense and angry just thinking about it. Sigh.

In other sad dog news… Our friend’s dog, Tanga’s brother, had to be put down. Apparently his body was ravaged by cancer. Very sad. He stayed here a few times. If Tanga could understand she’d be crushed. They were best buddies.

It looks like we will soon have a shed in our backyard again. When we bought the house many moons ago… There was a shed in the backyard. It was in rough shape. (I’ve looked for a photo of it but alas, I can’t seem to locate one…) Hmmpt. We should have it up by end of weekend. Glorious!
