Clearing the air

Saturday I had my family over for my birthday. My mother made a delicious chicken pot pie and a Skor ice cream cake. Happy birthday to me! I got some great gifts including NHL07 for the PSP and a new school (ugly logo) Sabres hat. The girls did some shopping and I stayed home with my Dad. Eventually I got him playing Texas Hold โ€˜Em on the 360. What a funny sight. We wanted to watch the Sabres game at 8PM and the channel had difficulties. After a chat with Rogers the station miraculously came on 10 minutes later. It was a pretty awful game for Sabres fans though. Ovenchickens cheap shot from behind on Briere was nothing short of disgusting. Worse than the hit was the NHLโ€™s joke of fining him $100 for what could have been a career ending hit. I hope the Sabres settle the score since the NHL obviously is incapable. โ€˜Itโ€™s jokeโ€™ to use a Ruffism.

Sunday started pretty roughly between B. and I resulting in a fairly lengthly talk. I feel better as a result of airing some things. I believe she does too. In the afternoon we eventually ended up at Sears at Square One. B. was helped by some great staff at Landsโ€™ End to get her a winter coat. In the evening we had a mini House marathon. With the new router we can stream wirelessly directly from the laptop to the TV. Joy!

Picked up Call of Duty 3 โš ๏ธ (link now 404 ๐Ÿ˜• - Jan/24) for the 360 today. Iโ€™m hoping to get a cable tonight so I can 360 on my LCD computer monitor. Iโ€™ve found a VGA connector (analog) but was hoping for a DVI connector (digital)โ€ฆ since the picture would be pure digital goodness. Picked up a VGA out/stereo out 360 cable and was able to hook up my 360 to my monitor with my computer speakers. Wowza! Shits intense bro! Call of Duty 3 online is a blast. It is really immersive and a lot of fun.
