CAN/US final

CAN/US final

Well... another disappointing effort by Canada's Men's team. They were outplayed by the US. The US set pieces worked, our did nothing. Canada lacked poise in the final third all night long. In many chances making the wrong choice between shooting or passing. Very frustrating to watch... I was expecting a better result. I did follow the game on reddit chat for the first time, so that was pretty cool. From Onesoccer Kristian Jack: "...was an opportunity they let slip...not prepared...a lot of questions...I thought they were awful for most of the game...[Canada's] outstanding players didn't show up... Why can't they keep the ball? ...Team under-performed. For a large part of the game they were in shambles...no where near good enough. can't break down team when they play deep...that first goal should have been saved - that is another problem with team Canada" Yup. I think most of that is right. 2-0 final, but could have been worse...Ugh, CONCACAF.

Another dog event weekend for bdot. I did a lot of housework, both inside and outside of the house.

Started watching Black Mirror. It is really curious. It is not a series with reoccurring characters. It more a collection of self contained, completely different episodes. They are really creepy... I guess the connecting theme is technology on some level. Watched a few more... wow, is this ever a good series. This is easily one of the best I've ever seen on Netflix. The writing and creativity episode to episode is incredible.

Apparently, Canada hit 40 million in population. We sure have the space. Just need the housing.

Ugh, that story about the Titanic submersible is pretty sad.... they have about 40h of air left. Gawd, imagine being in the sub and helplessly waiting to be found and expecting to die... Well... the Coast Guard reported the submersible suffered a 'catastrophic implosion'...which means all aboard have died. News is surfacing about how people were aware the sub was dangerous and that safety corners were cut... A sad story. Shame some people on reddit are quick to find mirth in the deaths of these people. Nothing has value anymore...
