mmm ribs

We took off last Friday to hit the Gloucester Pool cottage north of Barrie. It was a pretty quiet weekend. Just B. myself and the dog. Originally we had friends that were going to join us for the weekend, but Tanga is in heat and they have a male in-tact dog so… unless we find a chastity belt for dogs, the weekend with them wasn’t meant to be. We enjoyed the quieter weekend nevertheless. We ate quite well : BBQed ribs (that were amazing), fresh corn on the cob, roast chicken, roast potatoes… Mmmm. We did a lot of laying around in sun and enjoyed a few drinks. In spite of not seeing her brother, Tanga enjoyed herself as well as she discovered moving things in the water, a.k.a fishes. The weekend seemed to be over rather quickly. The drive home was looking like a nightmare down the 400 from Barrie so we took an alternate route down some minor roads. It was a little slower but never any stopping and much better scenery. We are trying to decide if we will return in August or drive back to Round Lake…
