Geeky, Politics, Hydro

So now what are we going to do?

So now what are we going to do?

Ugh, with 45 destroying everything good in humanity, the silver lining was the great Left hope to set things straight and put the U.S. back on a stable, progressive course. I liked most of what Sanders said. He sounded reasonable, helpful and that he was really going to make a difference. A difference that the World desperately needs. The fact the right name call him and are so afraid of him merely underscores how significant his presidency could have been. Yes, sadly, could have been. For various reasons he has withdrawn from the party. So instead of having a brilliant, once in a life time opportunity for change, the options are now two status quo duds. I can’t imagine how disappointed some Americans must feel. Sigh.

After the forty millionth time my *must have* iPhone irritated me last night I pulled out the SIM and put it back into my S7. OH HOW I’VE MISSED YOU… Strange, the phones are basically the same size and spec wise also very similar… but user experience is night and day. I don’t know what it is about the iPhone keyboard but I just can’t type on it. My S7 is slightly wider and I guess the difference is the breaking point with my stubby fingers. Anyway, I’ve crawled back to Android. All the *work apps* are there anyway, it really makes me angry that I really didn’t need the iPhone in the first place.

Over the past few months, we have certainly noticed some slow down in our dog. She is getting old. And time does what time does… a 15 year old dog (about 83 in human years!) has all sorts of things going on. Her sight, hearing and even ability to focus are all deteriorating. It is sad to see at times. She still has some spark left however, while I haven’t enjoying the older years as much as the younger… she has been an extraordinary companion throughout the years.

The government came through today with some relief money. So that is a huge relief.

Earlier this week we were experiencing very odd issues with electricity in the house. Lights were acting possessed, flickering like crazy, going off and on… Our friend and electrician was shown a video of it and came down almost immediately. (Yes, for a Leaf fan he is certainly a good guy) He has seen enough bad situations to know it could have been something very dangerous. Fortunately, it wasn’t. It was an issue outside of the house. Incredibly, Hydro One came the same day and replaced our transformer in a few hours. It has been pretty stable since. I don’t think I could survive long without beautiful, enabling hydro.

Still wondering where the light at the end of the tunnel is for this global crisis. I don’t see one yet.
