Birds

Tanga when under the knife today…she is out of surgery and is fine. Phew! The doc only removed one lump, he felt the other was smaller than it was last week so he left it (hoping it will heal on its own).

Spent most of Sunday in Guelph with Tanga’s litter mates (and their owners :P). We did some bird training (pointing, retrieving)… the dogs did pretty well. I spent a good chunk of the day freeing a pigeon from a tree. We attached a small piece of cardboard on a string to the bird’s leg… it was able to fly high enough to get tangled in a tree. Gah. It was a pretty pathetic sight. So after chucking maybe 100 rocks at the cardboard (not the bird :P) it was out of the tree. It was in good shape surprisingly. We had another afternoon at Suzanne and Kevin’s full of chat, dogs and great food. Suzanne made Roast. Yum! In the evening after a brief visit by my B.I.L., we watched the last episode of Prison Break. Seems like Link is doomed. If not it will be a pretty inventive ending…

Talked briefly to my ex today. It sounds like she isn’t doing so well right now. I hope her situation improves it is sad to hear her having personal problems. It is curious to worry about an ex.
