Back to ballin' (blur applied)

It had seemed like an eternity since the last back hockey game. We are at the mercy of the local school boards... there were weeks for Christmas closure, then closed for a Winter Storm. Oi. So it was good to get back to playing last Friday. We played really well. I think we got off to a slow start but once we got rolling, we sure rolled. The final score was very lop-sided. I had a good night. More than that I played in both games the first night back. Which was a lot... I feel like an achy old man today for sure. It was great to see everyone and have a good night of hockey.

Why yes, I'd love a drink

Last night was the Winter work party for bdot's work. She organized a great evening in town at the Wine Spot. We've been there before. It is a cool bar downtown, low lighting, exposed brick... a big bar. A cozy place to spend a night. And it was... We were treated to some time with the Win Spot's bartender who showed us how to make a Bramble. I was a bit disappointed about making a Gin drink. I hate Gin... But wow... it wasn't tart... the blackberry liquor sweetened it nicely, and, gasp, it was yummy! The recipe uses Creme de mure but the bartender used chambord royale. The bartender was quite a character. It took some time for everyone to arrive, but once they did and the food came out it was a good night. There was even music from a local guitarist who played a ton of CANCON and hits - he was solid. It was a fun night. The food came out in a weird order so there were tons of sliders left. I think I ate six yesterday. *om*

Bdots iron levels has been reaching concerning levels. Her anemia is becoming increasingly more serious. We are pursuing options.

Bills and Chiefs on now. GO BILLS!

Ugh...well... Bills came up short again. They had a chance to tie the game late with a field goal and it um, was wide right (WIDE FREAKING RIGHT)...So they are done.

Creating a curious future

After the Bills loss I needed a distraction and found The Creator. Wow! One of the most impressive looking Sci-Fi films I've seen in a long time. The acting was brilliant. Especially the lead, John David Washington. The script wasn't up to the quality of other aspects of this film. Still. Pretty incredible trip and wonderful Sci-fi. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⅓

What an embarrassing effort by the Sabres. Behind 3 in the third to the leagues worst team. Half the shots on net. Pure trash. They think they can turn it on for 5m and win. Disgusting. Sell the team Terry!!!
