I hopped on the Jay's bandwaggon a few weeks ago - just before their batting collapse... And they sure made things interesting. They are in the toughest division with perennial champs the Yankees and Red Sox. Both the Sox and Yankees were hot on the tail of the Jays and the Jays bats went quiet... So, what was looking like a sure thing became an uncertainty... Well, the Jays won just enough to squeak ahead of the Yankees... and with last night's win clinched their first division title in over a decade! More importantly, the win gives them a bye and they get to watch the Sox and Yankees destroy each other for a chance to play them... The Jays had a lot of fun celebrating... Go Jays!
Edie Beadie has come into season. She is acting like a depressed teenager. Well... that was until she got to run on a private property. Yes, we ventured about 30m North of us to a property where you can run your dogs without fear of running into anyone or dealing with other dogs and worse other dog's idiot humans... The dogs loved it there. They were full hunt mode. There are fields of tall grasses and shrubs they could explore and hunt in. With the exception of the mysterious shit that Mystic roll in (so gross) it was well worth it. It was also an absolutely lovely bright, warm day...
Hmm! Pop OS Cosmic has hit BETA... I played a bit with the Alpha and it was too buggy my liking (to be expected) but the Beta seems pretty solid... Still playing with it but I like it so far, and it installed without issue.

Well, Pop! was fine until I starting playing with the display settings. First off, the appearance settings were all missing. I could only choose between Light or Dark... All the detailed configuration was just missing. The system has an nivdia card so I tried installing the driver and it reboots to ONLY 1024x768 which is trash. Still no options. Still doesn't recognize the driver or card correctly. How disappointing.
So I read to try the Nvidia 470 driver (it is an old card) and it ALSO didn't work. The Nvidia installer couldn't even detect it was an Nvidia card. What a fail. I want to love you POP but you are still full of HATE.
Also my Ascension Wow launcher is fscked - so that is also dead ATM...

The Administration South of us continues its descent into authoritarianism. Today Mango Mussolini spoke to all of the military's top brass and the ire of his speech wasn't Russians, Chinese or any Mid-East Extremist... No. It was anyone INSIDE THE U.S. who dares oppose der leader. Yes, he wants to use the military to take out his personal and political enemies. It didn't look like the generals were impressed... hopefully they remember their oath is to the Constitution not the insane raging maniac seeking revenge on anyone who has wronged him. Really scary shit.
