We spent last weekend at the SIL's cottage. We left early-ish on Friday. There were a bunch of stops to make. First was Fortinos which was crazy busy, then Costco...Unfortunately, the skies opened up as we were loading the groceries. We both got soaked. Ugh, I hate that wet clothes feeling. After the running around we treated ourselves to some fries (Fries the Limit) in Thornton. I guess it rained earlier in the day at the cottage - we were spared a second soaking. It was sofa king hot. Oi! Like, standing doing nothing and sweating hot. It was a full house. Medium R and bdot's brother also attended. Medium got a new (used) older BMW for an absolute steal. We had a short ride out for gas. It's a nice car for sure in spite of its age. We must love fish and chips because we stood in front of a boiling pot of oil for 30m in that heat... Phew. I did multiple lake dumps too cool off...
It was a pretty typical weekend. There were a few tasks to do - but it was just too hot to be working outside. It was good to see everyone. We had some laughs for sure.
