The Text Editor Quest!

I've been installing and uninstalling text editors for years. Will you be my text editing hero? Further info on my quest for a solid free text editor for Windows 7 Windows 10. Found this awesome page comparing text editors! I know you are out there somewhere!

The two I'm alternating between are: Bluefish and Notepad++.

Bluefish has spellcheck, colour coding but crashes : bluefish.exe libcairo-2.dll (Win7) and loses settings. uninstalled. >> Ugh. Trying it again. (Sept. 2015) As of June 2018, Notepad++ has integrated spellcheck into its editor. So, for now... I've switched back to Notepad++.
